If you wish to receive Prohood’s services for Recruiters (e.g. buy and use the corresponding subscription plan), you must meet certain requirements.
We do not help Recruiters from every company with hiring. That’s because of our end goal (read the “Our mission” page). We evaluate each company for 2 things — HOW it earns money (ethically/unethically, with significant/insignificant harmful effect to the environment/human health, etc.) and WHAT it spends it on (sponsoring non-profit organizations/mostly selfishly/etc.).
For example, companies and startups we don’t help with include but are not limited to:
- mass-market-oriented tobacco and alcohol companies (with the exception of producers and sellers of a high quality wine);
- producers of low quality food and beverages. For example, Coca Cola, Pepsi (think of low quality water and plastic left after consumption);
- all crypto-related companies and startups (near 99% of them issue tokens to earn at the expense of others, it’s hard to say they bring a value to this world);
- all gambling companies (e.g. casino games, lotteries, slot machines);
- all betting companies;
- companies in fashion industry (with the exception of eco-friendly fashion);
- companies that deal with mining and/or supplying fossil fuels;
- companies that have a legal entity, an office, or employees in Russia.
We understand that companies might change their behaviors, but still, the ones listed above are unlikely to contribute to a better life on Earth. It doesn’t matter what corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs they employ or how much money they allocate to philanthropy; we do not help them because not only does what a company spends its earned money on matter, but also HOW it is earned.
If you are a Recruiter from any of them, do not start the verification process—you will not pass.
There are also companies with a controversial reputation (e.g., Google, Tesla). They are not good enough at respecting the environment or people's well-being or making money ethically.
Currently, we might allow Recruiters from this type of companies to buy the corresponding subscription plan, thus they can search for potential candidates on the site. However, if we get at least 10 complaints about the controversial company’s reputation, we’ll disallow them reaching out to potential candidates directly. In the future, when we allow the publication of vacancies, this policy might change. We plan to review each vacancy from controversial companies to assess whether it is likely to contribute to a better life on Earth or not and the progress the company has made since being criticized for not respecting the environment, people’s well-being, or making money unethically.
To be able to see “open to a job” posts on the Site, the subscription plan for a recruiter is required. We verify every Recruiter before allowing the purchase of the plan. To start the verification, submit this form.
